Mark D’Annolfo, private investor, consultant, top ranked Wall Street analyst, and adjunct professor at Babson College and Boston College, has been named to the Board of Advisor for The Pentad Group, located in Wellesley Hills, Mass. Mr. D’Annolfo’s over twenty years of investment and operating experience will help shape Pentad’s growth.

Having over 20 year of investment and operating experience, D’Annolfo worked on 30-plus transactions valued at over $4 billion. From January of 2002 through the present, he has been a private investor and consultant working primarily in the venture capital area. He served on the Board of Directors of Braun Consulting where he participated in an internal strategy review of the business, and is currently serving on the Board of Advisors of Shasta Partners, an investment banking firm. D’Annolfo is also an Adjunct Professor at Babson College and Boston College, teaching graduate courses on equity analysis and portfolio management.

 

From 1999 through 2001, D’Annolfo was a Managing Director and Head of the U.S. and Asia (India) information technology services research group at Deutsche Bank Securities. His focus was on the consulting and outsourcing sectors, covering with such industry leaders as Accenture, Infosys, BearingPoint and Sapient. D’Annolfo also worked with the venture capital community and Deutsche Bank’s investment banking clients on business strategy, M&A and capital raising (IPO, secondary, private placement) transactions. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank Securities, D’Annolfo was employed for 13 years at Canaccord Adams (formerly Adams Harkness & Hill), a 200-plus person investment banking firm focusing on emerging growth companies. He held the position of Managing Director and Head of the IT services research team. D’Annolfo also served on the firm’s Operating Committee, which ran the day-to-day operations of the firm, the Board of Directors and the Audit committee. Adams Harkness grew over five fold during his tenure.

 

For three consecutive years, D’Annolfo was top ranked by The Wall Street Journal in its All-Star Analysts Survey for his stock picking and earnings accuracy acumen. He has been widely quoted in major publications such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Investor’s Business Daily, Inc Magazine, Money Magazine, and The Boston Globe, and has appeared on numerous panels, including several by the MCLE (Mass Bar) at their Business & Securities Law Conferences. D’Annolfo has extensive industry contacts in the consulting, outsourcing and technology sectors.

 

D’Annolfo graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. degree from Boston College, and holds an M.B.A. from Boston University. He co-authored an article on Collateralized Mortgage Obligations, which appeared in Real Estate Review (NYU), and as a chapter in Edwin H. Duett’s Advanced Instruments in the Secondary Mortgage Market text. He is married and has two children.
