Seasoned Accounting and Finance Professional is a Tremendous Asset to Our Company

WELLESLEY HILLS, MA (April 1, 2007) – Kate McLellan, Principal of The Pentad Group, located in Wellesley Hills Mass., is pleased to announce that Stephen (Steve) McLaughlin was hired as a Financial Consultant.  McLaughlin’s responsibilities will include executing finance, accounting and information technology projects at various middle-market clients in the New England Area. 

McLaughlin, a seasoned accounting and finance professional with more than 25 years of experience, has held Controller and senior-level finance positions in the New England area.  His vast industry experience includes healthcare, distribution, services, manufacturing, technology, healthcare, non-profit and consulting. He is an expert at Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, financial systems integration, project management and all facets of general accounting and finance.

McLaughlin began his career at Northeastern University, where he was Assistant Supervisor Financial Operations, then moved onto New England Baptist hospital, where he was a Senior Accountant.  He then moved onto Massachusetts Medical Society where he was also a senior accountant and promoted to Assistant Controller Accounting Operations for both the New England Journal of Medicine and Massachusetts Medical Society.  He then went onto hold various Controller, Information Technology Manager and Financial Manager roles at companies in MA.  McLaughlin spent his last ten years as a Senior Financial Consultant at Parson Consulting, where he was responsible for executing on various IT, finance and accounting projects and business reviews.

McLaughlin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management with a concentration in Accounting, and a Master of Science degree in management information systems, from Northeastern University.  He resides in Fall River, MA with his wife Patricia, and they have three children, Matthew, Julia and Abigail.  In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, watching his son play hockey and daughters dance competitively.
